This very old game has entertained children for a long time. Originally played using lengths of straw that were gathered together and then allowed to fall onto a heap and then the stkill was to
remove pieces of the staw one at a time without any other straws moving. The game has developed over the years but the version from the 1950s perhaps has the most nostalgic appeal of them all instead of straws, the items you pick up are things such as rakes, saws, crutches and canes.
